Wise Words: How to be Original

Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original:

whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before)

you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it.

  1. McKella thanks for sharing. This sounds great. But I am not able to understand it completely. Would you mind explaining it shortyl? 🙂

    • This is definitely open to interpretation, but I take it to mean that we are all different, and therefore we have unique perspectives on life. Expressing our unique feelings honestly is inherently more original that copying someone else or “trying” to be original without considering the value of our true thoughts and feelings. I don’t know if that helps, but that’s how I see it.

  2. Thanks. I understand what you say here. It means right to me what you bring out here.
